    Giving Back

Success doesn’t happen alone—it’s made possible by the support we receive through our communities. That’s why AssetMark has always made it a priority to give back. Through toy and backpack drives, employee volunteer days, matching donations, our annual Community Inspiration Award, industry leadership, and more, we always strive to make a difference in the lives of others.

How Do We Make A Difference?

    Volunteering

Each year, our employees take a day to volunteer for a meaningful cause of their choosing. Often, they choose to work together during our annual Summer of Service for nonprofit organizations like Habitat for Humanity, ARF, Ronald McDonald House, Catholic Charities, Blue Star Moms, as well as local food banks, parks, and schools.

    Charitable Giving

We commit to giving back in a variety of ways. When an employee chooses to donate to a charity, AssetMark matches their contributions. What’s more, our corporate charity program organizes an annual holiday toy drive that provides toys, gift cards, and other necessities to families in need.

    Community Recognition

Being an independent financial advisor is more than being a steward for your clients; that’s why we recognize the outstanding achievements of our advisors in their community through our annual Community Inspiration Award. Every year, we select a few individuals from a pool of advisors nominated by their peers and recognize their contributions during our annual Gold Forum event. Not only do we highlight their outstanding work, we also make a financial contribution to the charity they support.

    Promoting Diversity

At AssetMark, we believe that a diverse and respectful community is a strong community. Through our annual Women Advisors Forum, we are working to ensure greater diversity in the financial services industry. Additionally, AssetMark collaborates with the Center for Financial Planning Board's Workforce Development Advisory Group to assist in attracting individuals of all backgrounds to consider a career in financial services.

    Community Inspiration Award

AssetMark’s annual Community Inspiration Award honors advisors who are making a significant impact in their communities through their commitment to the non-profit organizations they support. Every year, we recognize the efforts of advisors and award $10,000 to the organization being honored to help shine a light on their work and inspire others to give back.

They take 4 families at a time, and over a 12 week period, 28 congregations—temples and churches—provide food for them and housing, and by the end of the 12 week period, we help the families find permanent housing for themselves.

The main thing is to provide stability. Having breakfast, getting to school on time, just normal daytime things to establish routine and stability and safety.

We started the Foundation Latin America in December of 2016, and just three short months later, we put boots on the ground and built our very first sewing school in the Chinampas mountains, which is a lovely area, but very poor and [has] very few opportunities for decent jobs.
